I was pretty thrilled to get my hands on this latest “Makeup Revolution Concealer” release. When half of the world gushed over the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer’s brilliance, the other half slammed it for not having enough colors for darker skin tones. Today I’m going to review my makeup revolution concealer review.
Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer
The day when this one was released, it appeared to be a Tarte concealer dupe with a lot more colors. Because I haven’t tried the Tarte one, I’ll assess it on its own merits rather than compare the two.
Description of the Product
We all know the makeup revolution conceal and define concealer swatches are universal concealers. Its shades come in eighteen colors in cold, neutral, and warm undertones, ranging from light to profound.
With a matte texture that won’t settle or emphasize small wrinkles and pores, this revolution makeup concealer covers blemishes, evens skin tone, and counteracts dark circles.
A long-lasting pigment, that may also be used to contour and define the face. Its doe-foot applicator ensures a smooth application that won’t irritate the sensitive area beneath your eyes.
The product is packaged in a tiny, cylindrical, clear plastic tube with a rose gold label attached. Because the brand is so bright, getting a good, clear photo proved difficult. It features a rose gold cap with a doe-foot applicator attached, which makes concealer application a breeze.
It is also lightweight and simple to transport in your travel luggage. Overall, I have no complaints regarding the package.
The concealer has a lot of color to it. It easily conceals my severe chickenpox scars. To work on the dark spots and level out the skin tone, you only need a small quantity of product.
Almost every makeup revolution concealer swatches have the color ‘C13‘ is recommended for dark complexion tones with a warm undertone. The hue of the concealer on the applicator or when initially applied is a golden ochre color, which matches my skin tone well.
However, when I mix and smear this concealer and define concealer, it seems much more orange. Because of my skin tone, I would have been better off with C11 or C12. When I apply foundation, I may use C13 to conceal dark spots and neutralize the orange tone.
Makeup revolution conceals and define concealer lasts for 6-7 hours on my oily skin, which is a huge bonus. It has a natural appearance and is not impacted by sweat or grease. Any excellent oil-based remover will remove it.
This concealer has an extremely light texture. It spreads and mixes well. I previously used LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer, which is lighter than this one. Even after a few layers, it does not appear uneven or layered.
Makeup revolution concealer gives an excellent matte finish without feeling dry or flat. It has a natural look about it, which I enjoy. Once set, it will not crack or budge. This concealer sits nicely on its own and does not require powdering. To make it last longer, I prefer to powder it.
Pros and Cons of Define Concealer
I like the Makeup revolution conceal and define concealer. However, I didn’t choose the appropriate color. So, I won’t be able to use it as a highlighting hue, but it will serve as a color corrector and concealer for me. I will repurchase it in my tone if I get the opportunity since it is the most OK concealer ever.
